Job Summary
The Canadian Disability Participation Project (CDPP) is a research partnership of 43 academics from across Canada, the United States and England and 31 partners from Canadian sport, exercise and play organizations. The CDPP Principal Investigator is a faculty member in the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies. The CDPP is funded through a 7-year research grant. The goal of CDPP is to develop, test, implement and nationally disseminate, evidence-based programs that create quality sport, exercise and play participation for children, youth and adults with physical, intellectual, and sensory disabilities.
The schedule for this position requires the incumbent to work occasional evenings and weekends.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Coordinate communication and action plans to facilitate projects and strategic initiatives, as well as maintain good working relationships with community partners and researchers.
- Serve as main contact for multi-site collaborative research projects led by the PI and refer unusual issues to PI.
- Liaise with investigators, partners research team members from external universities and organizations.
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of University policies and procedures.
- Prepare, monitor and administer multi-site project budgets and help determine appropriate budgets for partner organizations, in accordance with granting agency policies.
- Establish, monitor, and communicate project timelines and milestones.
- Prepare interim and final research and financial reports for granting agencies.
- Carry out processes for managing human resource needs of the research team and partners.
- Develop and update research team terms of reference and orientation and procedural materials.
- Plan, organize and implement professional development activities for research team members.
- Assign tasks and assist with supervision of undergraduate summer students as needed.
- Help identify project activities for graduate students.
- Coordinate and plan project management team activities and meetings, research team meetings and project advisory committee meetings and events; create agendas and prepare and coordinate supporting documents, and arrange facility bookings, team member travel, accommodation and catering for on-campus, out-of-town and virtual events.
- Manage the Qualtrics data collection system for the lab.
- Maintain and monitor access to cloud-based research project files.
- Manage the security of research data and recommend data management strategies to research team.
- Contribute content to and assist with maintaining the lab website.
- Assist with written research reports, scientific publications, and research project presentations.
- Undertake other duties as required.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Lived experience of disability as a person living with disability and/or as a carer (e.g., parent) or a close support for a person with a disability (e.g., sibling) is considered an asset.
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Kinesiology, Rehabilitation Science, Disability Studies or Health Promotion.
- Experience building relationships and working collaboratively with individuals with disabilities.
- Experience building and maintaining positive relationships with community-based organizations.
- Experience coordinating multi-site research projects with university and community partners.
- Experience with University administrative systems for research funding, human ethics, off-campus activity safety, graduate student policies, financial administration and procurement.
- Familiarity with the Tri-Agency Financial Administration Guide. Completion of TCPS2 Course on Research Ethics (CORE), and OCAP® Training, an asset.
- Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
