**ACCOUNTABLE TO**: Director of Mental Health and Addictions

**Brief Overview**:
Under the supervision of the Director of Mental Health and Addictions, the Mental Health and Addictions Mobile Outreach Project Manager will help assist the MN-S Department of Mental Health and Addictions in the delivery of an effective 24/7 mobile outreach program and will be responsible in supervising the Mobile Outreach workers across the province. The Mental Health and Addictions Mobile Outreach Project Manager will provide operational support to the Mobile Outreach program and will help to carry out the program’s objectives and activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintains awareness and understanding of community needs and trends relating to Mental Health and Addictions issues and/or concerns.
- Develops, collects, and processes Mobile Outreach intake forms and referral forms.
- Provides data entry and keeps records of confidential personal information.
- Drafts briefing notes, articles, and bulletins for communication and education to Mobile outreach program.
- Supervises a team of Mobile Outreach workers and will work to develop schedules, check in meetings and materials for Mobile outreach team.
- Identify training and implement a plan for training relevant to the outreach team.
- Coordinates the development of Mobile Outreach program and will support the Director of Mental Health and Addictions to reporting and program implementation.
- Recognizes and pursues opportunities to engage key stakeholders and leaders in Métis communities to further support Mobile Outreach program.
- Effectively interprets Mobile Outreach program information for internal and external communication within MN-S.
- Coordinates and monitors the Mobile Outreach program budget, reports, and other related information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in social services, health, or administration and/or relevant experience in Mental Health and Addictions, Indigenous/Aboriginal studies, community health, public health, social sciences and/or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience working in Mental Health and/or the health care system and/or working with Indigenous and Métis communities in outreach.
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered if it directly relates to the essential duties and responsibilities.

**Knowledge and skills**:

- Knowledge of Métis culture
- Knowledge of Cree/Michif language would be an asset.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to respond to critical situations in a calm, effective manner.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
- Knowledge of models of Indigenous/Aboriginal governance, trends, Indigenous/Aboriginal funding programs, and issues facing Métis or Indigenous peoples in Canada.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing Mental Health and Addictions support.
- Proven organizational skills, be a self-starter who can work independently and in a team environment that is dedicated to excellence.
- Ability to be flexible and meet new challenges in a demanding and dynamic environment.
- Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, database software, electronic communication tools such as Microsoft Outlook)
- Strong time-management skills along with the ability to prioritize daily tasks, organizational skills, and effective decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to work within a team environment.
- Sound problem solving and decision-making skills as well as attention to detail.
- Be a team leader and have strong ability to solve problems and provide guidance.

**Additional requirements**:

- A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to our downtown location would be required.
- Must be able to travel on a regular basis, sometimes with last-minute notification.
