The Hamilton Anti-Racism Resource Centre (HARRC) is committed to advancing education about race, racism, discrimination, racial equality, and anti-racist theory and practice in Hamilton. The organization operates under the leadership of its Board of Directors and Executive Director and is guided by a strategic plan. The Program Manager role will support the Executive Director in leading EDI outreach activities in the Hamilton Community.

**Experience**: Community engagement, facilitation skills and project management experience with an understanding of anti-oppression frameworks and EDI principles. Experience implementing EDI education programming and training. Strong communication, writing and presentation skills. The ability to prepare complex reports, media advisories, community resource guides, canva designs and newsletters. Demonstrate the ability to resolve concerns and respond to difficult situations.

The Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing education and awareness strategies to meet the equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) objectives of the HARRC work plan and priorities. The Program Manager will deliver training programs, workshops, interactive sessions, and other resources to build community awareness regarding anti-racism, Islamophobia, antisemitism, anti-Indigenous racism, and xenophobia.

The Program Manager will assist with monitoring online and community-related hate incidents, extremism, and trends associated with racism and discrimination. The position will assist with HARRC’s community stakeholder relations, day-to-day operations and provide support to the Executive Director.

**Masters in a relevant discipline preferred

**Duties**:
1. Develop and facilitate anti-racism education outreach programming.

2. Advance the development and communication of EDI and anti-racism education in organizational and community settings.

3. Respond to issues of inequalities, racism, and discrimination.

4. Create anti-racism online resources and social media educational content.

5. Maintain continuing documentation including program reports, program evaluations, and surveys, to ensure HARRC annual work plan tasks are completed.

6. Plan and execute logistics for events and conferences, including curriculum development.

7. Prepare reports, statistics, and budgets for all events.

8. Plan and develop HARRC annual conferences, summer programming, and anti-racist action plans.

9. Promote the HARRC online hate reporting tool.

**Assets**:
Demonstrate knowledge of the concepts of equity, human rights, inclusion, Ontario Human Rights Code, other relevant legislation, data management best practices, and project management.

**Additional Information**:
The office location is 1 James St. North, McMaster Continuing Education Centre, (OJN). This position is hybrid 50% remote work, 50% in office, or as needed. 35 hours a week, some evenings and weekends expected, to be determined with ED.
