**About the Role**:
The Visitor Experience Coordinator ensures all visitors, members, and donors receive outstanding customer service when they visit the Gallery. They are responsible for ensuring the front of house staff share information with the visitor about exhibitions, programs, membership, fundraising events, and all other AGGV activities or initiatives. This position works across departments (curatorial, programming, marketing, and development) to ensure accurate information is available.

The Visitor Experience Coordinator promotes a deeper relationship with the AGGV by promoting opportunities for volunteerism. The Visitor Experience Coordinator is responsible for volunteer recruitment, and for placement, and supervision in coordination with other Gallery staff. The Visitor Experience Coordinator manages visitor experience staff including hiring, scheduling work planning and performance evaluation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Enhance visitor engagement and improve experiences through cross-departmental collaboration and the implementation of innovative strategies.
- Instruct Gallery Ambassadors on exhibitions, programs, and events to ensure informed and engaging visitor interactions, and address visitor complaints with tact and empathy.
- Lead the visitor experience team and volunteers towards a culture of excellence, managing schedules for comprehensive event and activity coverage, and conducting staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Administer visitor service and volunteer data, ensuring operational IT support for POS and payment systems, and assist with event ticketing and inquiries in collaboration with Gallery Associates.
- Align volunteer coordination with the AGGV Volunteer Policy, spearhead volunteer recruitment, training, and appreciation initiatives, and manage volunteer participation in key gallery events like the annual Art Gallery Paint In.

**What We're Looking For**:

- 2+ years of experience in Customer Service or Communications.
- Proven leadership in supervising staff/volunteers and team management.
- Post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with POS systems (Profitek preferred).
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
