**Responsibilities**:
Key Responsibilities:

- Intake of Personal Insurance client’s new claims and reporting to the insurance company
- Intake of Commercial Insurance client’s new auto claims and reporting to the insurance company
- Provide Claims counselling as required to the insureds in a professional and compassionate manner
- Data input using EPIC and DMS system
- Maintain, organize and update client files, including Word summaries and Excel spreadsheets
- Provide up to date Claims summaries and/or specific claim information to Broker Team as requested
- Communication with adjusters and insureds with respect to open claims
- Liaison between insured and insurance carrier during settlement negotiations when required
- Advocacy on claims, as necessary, on client’s behalf with insurers
- Process all incoming mail in a timely fashion
- Attend company sponsored seminars and educational activities needed to maintain product knowledge and expertise, and participate in projects at management’s request

Qualifications:

- Bi-lingual English/French an asset
- Completion of post-secondary education an asset
- Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Broker licenses or ability to obtain within 3 months
- CAIB, CIP designations an asset or courses completed towards designations
- Prior Insurance and/or Claims experience required
- Client service and/or advocacy experience an asset
- Comprehensive and effective verbal/written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task between a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Experience with EPIC an asset
