Family owned and operated jobbing machine shop located in Surrey, BC is looking for machinist that are a good fit to our company. We have been in business for more than 30 years. We service multiple industries including forestry, pulp and paper, aggregates, marine, oil and gas, mining, heavy industry, municipalities and infrastructure projects.

CNC experience is considered a huge asset. We have CNC mills, lathes and boring mills. We also have a full array of manual machines. Experience working on large parts, high tolerance and a variety of materials. Journeyman proficiency is required.

This is not a production shop, there is a large variety and scope of work. You will be challenged to think, solve problems and provide top level results.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and run parts on Haas CNC mills or lathes
- Experience on CNCs with 4th and 5th axis capabilities
- Operate manual milling equipment
- Operate manual turning equipment
- Working on large parts
- Rigging and safe operation of overhead crane
- A comprehensive understanding of tool selection, speeds and feeds, working with various materials including castings, brass/copper, super alloys, aluminum and steel.
- Accurately read drawings and inspect work. Precise use of measuring equipment
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines when required
- Work well in a team environment, but can reliably work unsupervised

**Qualifications**:

- Red seal machinist or equivalent experience (2nd or 3rd year considered )
- Good work history of reliability and dependability
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Experience using Fusion 360
- Experience with HAAS mills and lathes

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
