**The Role**

Reporting to the Director, Stakeholder and Government Relations (DSGR), this Manager Plays a key role on the management team. The Manager, working with the DSGR will lead the development of WBF’s workforce inclusion strategy. This includes the growth and evolution of WBF’s Employer of Choice and defining and igniting a Trainers of Choice program.

The Manager of Workforce Inclusion will lead a small team with the great potential to grow in their team. This role works closely with other leaders within the Stakeholder Relations portfolio and across the organization, particularly with Training, Marketing & Communications, Finance and Project Management.

The Workforce Inclusion portfolio is an exciting component of WBF’s impact - it oversees the critical work WBF is doing to support systemic cultural change. The workforce development partnerships will support women’s economic security and enable our organization to grow our impact across Alberta and into new regions across Canada.

**Work Setting and Location**

WBF utilizes a flexible work model that involves both in person work and work from home components (dependent on role). Managers are expected to primarily work from home with occasional in-person engagement at the Edmonton head office and oversee the work of departments that work virtually a significant portion of the time.

Key Responsibilities
- Under the leadership of the Director, Stakeholder & Government Relations (DSGR), participate actively on the WBF Management team, overseeing the workforce inclusion portfolio.
- Working collaboratively across the Stakeholder portfolio and in consultation with the organization define WBF’s workforce inclusion strategy, including the growth of Employers of Choice, creation of Trainers of Choice, defining goals and success metrics
- Prioritize internal communication, including information sharing, tracking of responsibilities and actions required of self and others, and regular updates to the Director, Stakeholder and Government Relations
- Develop and implement strategies to effectively scale WBF’s existing portfolio of work for inclusion initiatives, specifically work proud, and where practical, develop new innovative initiatives further to expand the reach and positive impact of WBF
- Be a catalyst for culture change, Lead the Workforce Inclusion team while they nurture employers through their Employer-of-choice evaluations and support their path to creating welcoming workplace environments
- Engage with stakeholders to establish strategic partnerships and support the implementation of mutually beneficial initiatives
- Identify new relationships and work with stakeholder and donor relations teams to nurture existing relationships with WBF’s Employer of Choice partners
- Represent WBF at external events and clearly articulate our values, impact, strategy and ways to support WBF with confidence and professionalism.

Skills & Abilities
- High level of personal integrity and commitment to putting the Mission and values of Women Building Futures into action
- Experience working across EDI spaces
- Deep understanding of the challenges facing Industry and the ability to integrate EDI into operations and build trust with diverse stakeholders
- Great capacity to adapt to a dynamic and changing environment.
- Strong communication skills: confidence and comfort speaking to folks from across sectors and at all levels of an organization, ability to communicate information in clear, concise ways, and adapt for a variety of participants and audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy are necessary in order to work with diverse backgrounds; must be able to interact professionally with a variety of internal and external client groups.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Education & Experience
- 10 years minimum of demonstrated related experience
- 5 years of experience leading a team
- Diploma or degree in a related field or Red Seal Certification (e.g., human resources, social science, public relations, social sciences)
- Awareness of the challenges of women working in non-traditional roles; cultural, economic and social barriers to adult learning and employment
- Flexible; able to address the
