Reporting directly to the Manager, Student Recruitment (Domestic), the On-Campus Student Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator (“Coordinator”) supports Sheridan’s overall enrolment strategy and is a significant contributor to Sheridan’s public image and promotes Sheridan as a higher learning institution of choice for both domestic and international prospective and existing students, with the purpose of increasing the number of qualified applicants and the conversion of those applicants to Sheridan students. Overseeing an assigned campus, the Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment activities which will be timed to leverage and influence Marketing support and increase the effectiveness of Sheridan’s other operations such as Admissions processing. The Coordinator ensures recruitment activities are targeted/market specific and their assigned activities come in on budget. Operating primarily in an on-campus business development role, the Coordinator takes the lead role in liaising/collaborating with the internal academic Faculties and other service areas for the purpose of developing and implementing recruitment strategies. The Coordinator works within a team environment that consists of part-time staff and student workers and develops and implements support for team members and allocates recruitment work or projects once assigned by their supervisor, to ensure the successful execution of recruitment activities. As the key contact for influencers in their assigned campus, the Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing effective strategic recruitment activities within their assigned campus and communicating key messages and programs to affected partners. Furthermore, they develop innovative recruitment strategies based on regional and demographic factors and leverage other college resources when needed to meet the goals and objectives outlined in their plans.

What You’ll be Doing

Strategically planning, developing and executing Sheridan wide recruitment strategies for assigned campus;
Leading the partnering efforts to develop and deliver student enrollment/retention initiatives aimed at enhancing academic success, the quality of the student experience, and service to prospective students;
Researching, developing and delivering recruitment programs/workshops/events, both in-person and virtually, tailored to the needs of each prospective student and influencer group;
Regularly reviewing prospective students that register for a recruitment activity within campus and engaging them to ensure their interest in Sheridan grow and encourages them to find the right path forward;
Developing support materials and scheduling for part-time student recruitment staff and student workers; organizing and providing relevant information and materials required for recruitment activities;
Planning and utilizing a methodology for data collection, conducting research and analysis, and creating associated reports and proposals;
Performing other related duties, as assigned.

4-year degree in Business or related field

5 years progressive experience in an educational environment or a combination of educational, social services and business environments where responsibilities included:
Managing business relationshipsAssessing and advising clients

Preparing and presenting to groups

Analyzing and interpreting data

Creating, writing, delivering and evaluating group training programs

Experience using Salesforce will be considered an asset
