We are searching for an Accounts Payable Team Lead to join our Finance team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

Manage the daily processing of vendor invoices, and expense transactions including sourcing approvals.
Prepare timely payment runs to maintain healthy vendor relationship.
Review new vendor set up for accuracy and required information.
Support the Account Payable Team with deadlines and training requirements.
Month end closing processes.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Weekly Review of Accounts Payable Team Transactions for accuracy and to ensure no duplicate payments.
Ad hoc reporting requirements from Finance Team

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
A certificate or diploma in Accounting or related education
3-5 years in an Accounts Payable Coordinator role handling an increased range of complexity
Supervisory experience considered an asset
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and desire to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team with strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong aptitude for problem solving and a drive to create process efficiencies and produce high-quality work
