**Summary**

The expectation of this position is that the employee performs their duties and responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner. Furthermore, the expectation is to perform these duties while working as a part of a team.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist Catering office team with the preparation of upcoming catering events
- Conducts monthly inventory of catering equipment and product
- Supervise various Catering events, ensuring the events run smoothly
- Sets up Catering events based on the event details, buffet layout and any other information provided by the catering office team. Ensures all set ups for events are done correctly and are ready prior to the event day
- Verify all signage (i.e. labels and menus) are correct and displayed at the right location prior to and during the event
- Maintain knowledge of food and beverage items, stations, and dietary restrictions in the catering event and surrounding premium/catering area or other assigned area for the event
- Maintain the premium atmosphere of the service area assigned
- Ensure event staff are working in the proper area and position based on the event staff schedule
- Review any special guest’s expectation outlined in the event BEO with the staff for that area (billing information, advance orders, special instructions, client/group name)
- Assist with the job duties for all catering front of house staff roles as operationally needed during an event. This can be anything from cleaning, refilling a buffet, working a bar, transporting food or dirty dishes
- Assists with Training all Part-time Catering Staff
- Ensure that staff is on task, quality assurance standards are being met, and the operation is clean and organized
- Ensure all items are returned to their proper storage locations and that the event is cleaned up properly, following closing procedures
- Lead and assist team members in assigned task including working as a catering server and other job duties as per operational needs
- Ensures cleanliness, readiness, and safety of assigned catering area following health and safety protocols
- Ensure all staff has signed in and out of the catering event binder
- Be on time and ready for work in approved uniform and non-slip shoes.
- Must maintain knowledge of the available food & beverage offered during the event
- Must be able to follow instructions on the Banquet Event Order (BEO)
- Always exceeds guest expectations
- Establish rapport with guest, effectively using suggestive and upselling techniques
- Able to resolve customer complains in a friendly and service-oriented manner
- Must be able to operate different food warming equipment, POS Machines and any other equipment used during the event
- Able to resolve team issues in a professional manner
- Complete closing duties in timely manner
- Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests
- Must be able to effectively communicate with managers and co-workers to effectively accomplish goals.
- Participate in daily pre-shift
- Know locations of event spaces in the stadium
- Ensures that their assigned game day location is set up correctly and ready for a successful event
- Maintain health and safety standards in work areas.
- Verified that all bills have been closed at the end of each event
- Uphold all policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with company and client expectations
- All other tasks as delegated by Supervisor or Manager.

**Physical Demands/ Work Environment**
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
- Frequent periods of standing and walking
- Frequent use of stairs.
- Size of Stadium tends to involve higher physical demands on event days.
- Sensory Attention: this environment is a noisy loud environment on event days.

**Language Skills**
- French is not mandatory but considered an asset.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2 years’ previous high volume dining or hospitality experience required
- Proven supervisory skills and experience, capable of motivating and leading a team
- Must have completed high school or equivalent. Relevant work experience will be considered an asset.
- Must be bondable, and pass an employer administered background check.
- Must be able to demonstrate mathematical skills
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess a valid Smart Serve Certificate
- Advanced Food Safety Certification considered an asset
