Credit Manager

Based out of one of our offices located in **Mississauga, Ontario **or** Montreal, Quebec** we have an immediate full-time opportunity available within the Finance department.
**Credit Manager**
This position will report to the Director, Credit Risk Management. The incumbent is responsible for the overall credit function of Ariva ensuring operations adhere to credit policies and standards.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Manage the Credit Team (4 direct reports) regarding Credit and Collection
- Manage credit reviews and limits, approve new accounts and customer aging
- Take action on past due accounts,** **increase in exposure/potential liability and non-performing accounts
- Support negotiations with Customers and the Sales organization regarding delinquent/slow accounts
- Create and deliver monthly credit reports to senior management highlighting key areas of concern/opportunities
- Other - Staff development, maintain industry knowledge, bad debt write-offs, oversee department budget, renew collection agreements with third party agencies
**Required Education / Certifications**:
- Credit Designation (CCP)
- Post Secondary education - minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting
**Professional Experience**:
- Proven expertise in credit risk management
- 5-8 years of related work experience in a Credit department as a Manager or Supervisor/Team Lead within a larger organization
- Previous work experience in distribution industries would be an asset
- Knowledge of SAP would be a definite asset
- Bilingual - French and English
