E-commerce Operations Coodinator

Knifewear has spent the last 17 years offering Canada the widest selection of Japanese kitchen knives, sharpening supplies, and cookware. We love sharpening knives and teaching people how to safely use or sharpen them during our in-store classes. We are a shop about food, and we believe a good knife can get people excited about cooking. We also think that the retail shopping experience should be excellent. We build community through our store and events that gather people who enjoy food, cooking, and hand-crafted tools.
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously to join our team as an E-commerce Operations Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Shopify web development, managing customer help desk ticketing interface, handling accounts payable tasks, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our e-commerce business independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
**Role and Responsibilities**:
- Shopify Web Development Support
- Collaborate with the web development team to implement changes, updates, and enhancements to our Shopify platform.
- Assist in the creation and optimization of web content, including product listings, landing pages, and promotional banners.
- Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure the website functions properly across various devices and browsers. Maintain organized records and documentation related to e-commerce operations, including contracts, agreements, and vendor communications.
- Customer Help Desk Ticketing Interface
- Manage incoming customer inquiries and support tickets through our help desk ticketing system.
- Provide timely and professional responses and solutions to customer queries regarding orders, products, shipping, and returns.
- Create and maintain Macro responses to be used company wide.
- Quickly identify and escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members for resolution.
- Accounts Payable
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis related to accounts payable activities.
- Administrative Management
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for team members as needed.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls. Receive and distribute incoming mail.
- Order office and warehouse supplies from approved sources.
- Schedule and coordinate cleaning of the warehouse and office. Schedule and coordinate garbage and recycling pick-ups.
- Troubleshoot IT concerns as able.
- Assist in the coordination of special projects and initiatives to support business growth and efficiency.
