**Position Overview**

The **Centre for Career & Personal Development** in **Student and Enrollment Services** is currently seeking a Full-time Regular **Manager**.

Reporting directly to the Director, Centre for Career & Personal Development, the Manager of CCPD Operations is responsible for leading a team responsible for fostering great relationships with campus partners, employers, government and community. The Manager oversees a range of activities, including event planning, promotion, and execution, operational logistics, budget management, vendor and stakeholder management, data analysis and reporting, technology integration and project management.

This position oversees revenue generating activities for the Centre for Career & Personal Development and is accountable for managing multiple critical deadlines throughout the year. The role involves handling a high volume of work and competing priorities, necessitating effective prioritization and the ability to manage complex demands. As a member of the leadership team within the Centre for Career & Personal Development, the Manager actively participates in establishing and reviewing operational procedures for the unit. Additionally, the Manager represents Student and Enrolment Services (SES) in interactions and committees across the University and in the broader community.

**Position Description**

**Summary of Key Responsibilities** (job functions include but are not limited to):

- Performs full range of human resources duties for the business operations team, including hiring, supervision, and performance management.
- Collaborates with the Director, CCPD, to establish objectives and performance expectations for team members, ensuring alignment of objectives with the CCPD and Student and Enrolment Services.
- Facilitates open and transparent communication channels within the team, ensuring that information flows freely, ideas are shared, and feedback is provided constructively.
- Inspires team members by fostering a positive work environment, recognizing their contributions, and fostering a sense of camaraderie and collaboration.
- Ensures staff and volunteers are well trained, supported in their work and encouraged in their development.
- Proactively builds trustworthy, productive, and problem-solving working relationships with colleagues, staff, and industry partners.
- Monitors the progress of projects and tasks, tracking milestones, identifying potential risks or obstacles, and implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
- Creates an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives and backgrounds are valued, fostering creativity, innovation and a sense of belonging among team members.
- Administers all financial resources, including budget allocations, revenues and expenditures promptly.
- Approves expenditures and time entry within delegated authority.
- Ensures revenue targets associated with CCPD are met or adjusted as needed.
- Implements the industry engagement strategy effectively and responsively.
- Oversees planning and implementation of major events offered by CCPD (e.g. career fairs, open house, festival, information sessions and other related events); and works in collaboration with team members to ensure appropriate resources for events.
- Applies sound judgement in making decisions regarding services, daily operations, and internal processes.
- Contributes information and expertise, staying updated on trends and developments in Canadian universities in relation to business systems and employer services.
- Supports the Director in preparing reports and surveys, and evaluating data to make effective decisions related to the portfolio.
- Provides leadership for implementation of industry engagement strategy.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of the Elevate platform, collaborating with campus partners to ensure processes will be appropriate for our business needs and the needs of students, staff and employers.
- Ensures clear processes are documented and followed by analyzing available data, testing system functions, reviewing processes, and implementing solutions.
- Supports the Director in preparing monthly and annual reports and surveys, and creating proposals for strategic initiatives, program enhancements, and departmental improvements.
- Oversees data management processes and integrity with team members to ensure accuracy in statistics, including web site analytics, job posting, interview booking/scheduling, appointment booking, and event attendance.
- Provides training and written processes to support students, employers, and staff, with regards to usage of CCPD systems.
- Collaborates with the Marketing & Communications team to ensure accurate, targeted, and timely communications related to employer newsletters and marketing and promotion of CCPD services and events.
