**About this Opportunity**:
We are looking for a People Operations (Human Resources) student for a 4- or 8-month term starting in May 2023. This role will provide support to the People Operations team and will be based in our Calgary office.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- You will be exposed to various areas of Human Resources including recruitment, payroll, compensation, and employee relations
- You will provide assistance to the People Operations team with full cycle recruitment (job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, offer preparation & onboarding)
- You will participate in and provide assistance with campus recruitment initiatives
- You will create and maintain electronic personnel files
- You will draft and send routine correspondence (i.e., employment verifications etc.)
- You will be exposed to and perform tasks within our Human Resource Management System (HRMS) - ADP Workforce Now; including the Applicant Tracking System, Employee Data Management, Time & Attendance, Benefits, Compensation and Payroll modules.
- You will work on other special projects as assigned

**What you’ll be doing**:

- You are a student currently enrolled in your 2nd or 3rd year of a business degree with a Human Resources major
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel & Teams
- You are able to work effectively in a team environment
- You are confident in your written and verbal communication skills
- You are focused and have a keen attention to detail
- You have a strong customer service focus
- You are a hard-working and motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn

**To be eligible for a Paramount Resources student position, you must meet the following requirements**:

- You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution
- You are available to work the full duration of the outlined work term
- You are currently residing in Calgary or willing to relocate for your work term
- You are legally entitled to work in Canada without restriction, by way of one of the following:

- Canadian Citizenship
- Permanent Residency
- Valid work permit
