1. **Inventory and Supply Management**
- Track and manage stock levels, reorder supplies, and ensure the inventory is well-maintained.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for orders, delivery schedules, and sometimes negotiate prices.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and update records to avoid shortages or overstocking.

2. **Logistics and Delivery Coordination**
- Arrange and oversee deliveries, pickups, and shipments as needed.
- Schedule couriers or coordinate with external delivery services to ensure timely and accurate dispatch.
- Track shipments and handle issues or delays with logistics partners.

3. **Administrative Support**
- Organize and maintain files, documents, and records, often in both digital and physical formats.

4. **Customer and Client Interaction**
- Support customer service by addressing inquiries related to products or services.
- Communicate with clients and suppliers to coordinate orders and delivery schedules.
- Sometimes manage minor complaints or concerns to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Handle pumping dispatch calls in the mornings until the dispatcher arrives.
- Maintain communication with the crew members, advising of changes to their jobs as needed.

5. **Office Assistance**
- Help with daily tasks like restocking, or setting up equipment.
- Oversee minor maintenance or repairs in the office or retail space, coordinating with vendors when necessary.
- Ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and safe.

**Typical Work Environment**
- Operations assistants usually work in offices, warehouses, or on the road.
- The role will involve some travel within the city for picking up or delivering items, meeting with suppliers, or site inspections.
