**Position Summary**
We are looking for a
** Marketing Manager, Strategic Growth Platforms** based at our
** North York office** reporting into the
**Marketing Leader, Maternal & Early Childhood (MEC)**. This role will be responsible for the development, commercialization and market leadership of strategic growth platforms that help us reach new consumer segments and expand into new moments. The role will also lead the end to end planning for a priority disruptive innovation project that breaks all boundaries and helps to re-imagine a key segment of the MEC business. As part of the role, we are looking to foster a transformative mindset and test & learn new ways of working / commercialization models.
**A day in the life of a Marketing Manager**
As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for being curious with the consumer (in partnership with the Consumer Insights lead) and leveraging deep consumer insights, evolving trends, and untapped need states to develop breakthrough growth acceleration plans that tap into new consumer segments and moments.
You will also be:
- Responsible for leading the MEC disruptive innovation accelerator project that will help reinvent a key segment in the business. As part of this, the role will be responsible for working with a cross-functional team to identify opportunity areas, lead the full innovation process, develop breakthrough go to market plans, and lead the full launch period (including test ‘n’ learn and scale phases).
- Responsible for building a 3-5 pipeline of MEC growth platforms including the consumer validation, business case and go to market planning. Platform ideas may include a mix of Canadian-led, US and SBU ideas.
- Responsible for fostering & developing a transformative, disruptive innovative culture mindset & skillset on the team by testing & learning new ways of working (e.g. agencies, approaches, go to market, etc.) and bringing the learnings back to the team. Responsible for thinking outside of the box, breaking boundaries, and continuously challenging the current status quo.
- Responsible for building strong, collaborative relationships across the Consumer insights (CME), marketing team, functional groups, Canadian Senior Leadership, US, SBU, agencies and other I&R disruptors across the globe (to build/share learnings). Ability to inspire and lead cross-functional and agency teams.
**What will make you successful?**
- Minimum of 8-10 years marketing experience (3-5 years manager level) and preferably relevant cross-functional and multi-category experience.
- Successful in managing complexity in channels, I&R, SBUs etc.
- Demonstrated career progression with innovation development success.
- Strong financial acumen & demonstrated P&L management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop optimized solutions in a complex environment and across multiple senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong strategy development, creative problem solving and insight skills.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in working with ambiguity, thinking outside the box, and entrepreneurial spirit.
