Position Summary
Key Responsibilities
Molten and Foundry Division
- Build and expand the company’s presence and its brands in Ontario region by promoting and selling products and services to customers. Will drive business in alignment with company’s vision while supporting commercial strategic initiatives.
- Manage existing customer relationships directly or through Opta Group's CSR network and establish professional relationships with key personnel at assigned customer accounts.
- Develop opportunities for product recommendations through customer site visits, meetings, and understanding the processes of each customer, demonstrating thorough knowledge of all product families and services provided.
- Attend product trials at customer sites to ensure requirements and product performance are properly met.
- Resolves customer concerns in a timely manner by investigating problems, developing solutions and recommendations for new products and services.
- Works Closely with the technical services support team regarding upcoming customer trials and issues with current products in order to support new product development and design.
- Develop quotations for each customer including cost/sales/margin analysis. Resolves customer complaints in a timely manner by investigating problems, developing solutions, and providing recommendations.
- Communicate with internal departments regularly, Sales, Purchasing, Production, Product Development, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Field Services etc.
- Frequent travel outside the local area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Experience, and Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales Management or Marketing; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ related work experience in commercial space, preferably serving industrial markets.
- Demonstrated proficiency developing and executing end-user market analysis and promotion strategies
- Proven time management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time.
**Location**: Home office. Travel as required (Estimated 60-75%)
