**Your Opportunity at SECURE Energy**
As our Marketing and Communications Coordinator, you’ll manage and create content for a variety of internal and external channels, including the intranet, corporate website, and social media platforms. You’ll play a key role in supporting company-wide announcements and engagement events.
This role is based out of **Calgary, Alberta**

**A Day in The Life**
**Communications**
- Lead the execution of internal communications initiatives, including company-wide announcements, internal campaigns, town halls, and engagement events.
- Maintain and update the company intranet to ensure employees have access to the latest information and resources.
- Coordinate and support internal events, such as employee engagement activities and company-wide initiatives.
- Collaborate with various departments (e.g., Marketing, HR, Operations) to ensure consistency in internal messaging and alignment with company values.
- Act as a culture ambassador, driving employee connection and engagement through clear, consistent communication.
- Partner with the graphic design team to ensure visual consistency in communication materials.
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns, providing actionable insights for improvement.
**Marketing**
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Coordinate marketing and communication projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Manage social media channels, including planning content, monitoring, and responding to interactions.
- Assist in managing paid digital ad campaigns, including Google Ads and social media advertising.
- Update external listings (e.g., Google Business profiles) with current information and respond to reviews.
- Collaborate with designers to develop marketing materials such as brochures, promotional items, and videos.
- Help organize and coordinate events, including external and internal initiatives like SECURE’s annual Stampede charity party.
- Manage tradeshow materials, booth requests, and promotional stock.
- Handle department invoices, vendor setup, and contract management.
- Track and report on marketing initiatives, including digital, social, and traditional channels.
- Work with external partners to purchase advertising space and ensure deadlines and content updates are met.
- Maintain an up-to-date content calendar to coordinate marketing materials.
- Draft and edit copy for websites, blogs, social media, and advertisements.
**Skills, Experience, & Qualifications**
The individual in this role will have:
- Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations.
- Experience in the energy or waste management sector is a plus but not required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information.
- Ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences, such as executives or general employees.
- Experience managing communications during crises or sensitive times is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint is essential.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and solve problems independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with engagement metrics and measuring communication effectiveness.
- Understanding of change management communications.
