**City Experiences is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor for our City Cruises operation in Gananoque.**
**About You**:

**About the Opportunity**:
Inspired by a commitment to excellence, the **Kitchen Supervisor** creates an amazing experience for our guests and crew by successfully overseeing all activities of the restaurant, ice cream shop and café. They will ensure timely customer service by focusing on consistent presentation of food, hospitable guest service, and profitable operations. The Kitchen Supervisor will contribute to the success of the operation by maintaining all company standards & hygiene expectations, adherence to food handling best practice, local health unit standards, all while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all crew.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Provides amazing hospitality to coworkers and guests as prescribed in our RESPECT Service System.
- Assists in managing the cooking team, Baristas & Kitchen Stewards by way of training, coaching/discipline, break management, and retention.
- Maintains high standards of food and restaurant safety for guests and staff including but not limited to, maintaining a clean workspace and good hand washing practice.
- Resolves crew issues, conflicts, and complaints in a professional and timely fashion within the scope of authority, referring any unusual situations to the direct Manager.
- Provides support to all crew by providing regular coaching on food product and equipment care.
- Ensures all opening and closing duties as detailed on checklists, including but not limited to stocking, replenishing, wiping, sweeping, and other duties as required to maintain an appealing, hygienic, and safe environment for staff and guests.
- Kitchen Supervisor will be expected to participate in cooking on the line during meal periods.
- Completes administrative tasks including daily reports, paperwork, and invoices by end of day of current shift.
- Knowledgeable of necessary information from other departments to ensure amazing guest satisfaction (special requests, additional services, special timing, etc.). Example: understanding of multiple vessel embarkment and departing schedule in addition to how it impacts dining periods.
- Conducts pre-shift meetings to communicate with food & beverage service staff regarding daily features, 86 items and any other important food & beverage related information.
- Collaborates with direct supervisors to execute programs that improve the level of service and product quality.
- Leads by example, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity, has sound work habits including but not limited to; following all department policies & procedures, dedicated work attendance and supporting departmental leadership direction.
- Helps execute incentive programs and engagement of City Cruises Canada employee programs.
- Maintains good relationships with other departments (marine, retail, and administration).
- Attends all scheduled meetings.
- Operates all restaurant systems (point of sale, inventory/purchasing system).
- Completes and maintains all service logs for appropriate equipment.
- Assists in inventory management and logistics.
- Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time, taking personal responsibility for timecard.
- Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
- Completes any other duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager or Food & Beverage Manager.
**Requirements & Qualifications**:
- O.S.S.D or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education.
- Hospitality or Culinary degree/diploma preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years, hospitality focused, leadership experience.
- Smart Serve Certificate required.
- Food Handler’s Certificate required.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) tailored to different audiences.
- Must possess a service orientation - actively looking for ways to help others.
- Will be required to be available for work on all major holidays, weekends, and evenings.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks.
- Will work for extended periods without sitting.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, pull, move, or lift up to 30 lbs (14 kgs).
- If required, wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e. non-slip shoes, gloves, weather appropriate dress attire, sun protection)
- Full G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
