Each year, the program diverts more than 100 million pounds of clothing and household items from landfill sites across Canada. About the role

Reporting to the National Manager, Government & Strategic Partnerships, the Associate, Government & Strategic Partnerships supports the Government & Strategic Partnerships team by having a thorough understanding of municipal and provincial law, data management and administration, and customer (government) follow up and support.

**Some highlights of the role include**:

- Play an active role in the support of the government strategy to increase têxtile collections and grow revenues
- Work with Government & Strategic Partnerships team to maintain and build relationships with Municipal, Provincial, and other government agencies, and strategic partners to increase têxtile collections and grow revenues
- Research municipal and provincial trends that impact têxtile collection and revenue growth
- Understand local bylaws, laws, and regulations to support government strategy
- Data entry to track municipal relationships, including collecting, analyzing, and sharing data with government partners as required
- Help coordinate and participates with the rest of the Government & Strategic Partnerships team inrepresenting NDT at seminars, conferences, and workshops
- Support Government & Strategic Partnerships team to help resolve conflict for NDT specific to têxtile diversion
- Provide administration support for the Government & Strategic Partnerships team
- Attend internal and external meetings as required
- Additional duties as required ensuring the effective operation of the NDT Business Development function

About you
- University Degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Studies, Communications, or equivalent relevant experience
- 2-3 years in Government Relations, Sales, Marketing, or related discipline
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Fully computer literate in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, energetic team player
- Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team
- Organized, self-disciplined and professional in demeanor
