Payroll and Human Resources Administrator

Calgary, Canada Citadel Drilling Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Collect, verify, and import employee information and payroll data from third-party software or information systems, including hours worked, allowances and leaves of absence.
- Maintenance of employee database records for new hires/terminations and various payroll and HRIS systems.
- Assist in calculating and processing payroll in accordance with company policies, employment contracts, and relevant legislation.
- Assist in onboarding employees to the Company’s various benefit programs and ensuring systems are in sync with Company’s payroll register.
- Prepare various payroll reports, journal entries, reconcile workers compensation and payroll taxes.
- Stay updated on labor standards and payroll legislations in the various jurisdictions the Company operates.
- Assist in compiling information for year-end payroll routines and periodic audit requests.
- Assist with employee documentation for files including promotional or change of status letters to internal employees.
- External employment verification letters for third parties as requested.

Qualification, Skills and Education Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in payroll or human resources administrative roles.
- Applicants holding a PCP or CPHR certificate or equivalent will be given preference.
- Proficiency in using payroll software/HRIS systems (e.g., Paychex, Bamboo, ADP, SAP, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of relevant employment laws and tax regulations.
- Demonstrated client service skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Applicants with oil and gas drilling company experience preferred
