**Position Title**: Marketing Specialist

**Reports To**: Marketing Manager

**Department**: Savings and Retirement

**Term**: Permanent Full Time

**Work Arrangements**: We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately November 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.

**The Opportunity**: We are looking for a dedicated Marketing Specialist to join our team and specialize in creatively developing marketing materials and communications for the Savings and Retirement department. This includes brochures, guides, flyers, presentations, for new product launches, product enhancements, promotions, advertising and newsletters. This person will also play a key role in developing content and making updates to the Savings and Retirement Corporate and Advisor websites. Our focus is to write digital communications, marketing materials and presentations in easy-to-understand plain language.

**What you will be doing**:

- Assisting in developing and maintaining creative marketing materials for advisor and client audiences working closely with marketing and product experts.
- Working with the Marketing Manager in developing content for and maintaining our digital properties.
- Responsible for assisting in marketing plans and campaigns for new and enhanced product launches.
- Responsible for updating, developing and posting marketing and communications materials.
- Assisting with writing and developing promotional content and case studies
- Creating and maintaining training material and presentations on products and sales concepts to facilitate the training of producers/advisors, MGAs, regional investment managers
- Write creative and / or technical internal and external communications (includes brochures, guides, flyers, presentations)
- Establishing schedules and budgets for marketing campaigns and launches
- Working with the Graphics Services department and translation on the production of marketing materials
- Taking a pro-active role in adopting and monitoring corporate communications standards for S&R product communication and marketing

**What you will bring**:

- Proven experience within the financial services industry, preferably in the marketing of Insurance products
- Post secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Solid experience updating digital properties and using analytics to help measure success
- Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to collaborate with other product experts, compliance, legal, designers and suppliers as well as various levels of management.
- Proven creativity through written and visual representation. Develop promotional copy, concepts for ads and campaigns.
- Demonstrated success in marketing communications
- Ability to work well under deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Prior experience working with creative designers, and knowledgeable about design principles is an asset
