We’re looking for an outgoing, passionate, results-driven Event Marketing Specialist to join the Canadian Meetings and Events Team. We serve business partners across the Manulife Canada Segment to help them achieve their event objectives and build the brand along the way.

As an Event Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting key event marketing strategies designed to address our programs’ communications and design needs, and by utilizing and exploring new opportunities with digital tools and reporting.

In short, your role will support the event marketing and promotional activities required for our various target audiences (i.e. Sales teams, external advisors, etc.). You will partner closely with the Canada Meetings & Events Team, as well as other Canada Segment colleagues, sales teams, and external vendors to deliver our meetings and events priorities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support Canada Meetings & Events Team in the creation of event communications and execution of relevant marketing strategies that deliver on business goals and priorities - think event registration websites, tracking, invitations, mobile apps and more
- Liaise with business partners within Canada Segment, as well as peers on the Canada Meetings & Events Team (planners, coordinators, leaders) to ensure all event promotional content and related materials are aligned with overall strategic themes.
- Maintain relationships with Canada Meetings & Events Team, internal business partners and external vendors to identify opportunities and challenges and to collaborate on solutions.
- Use relevant event industry, internal data, research and insights to inform event marketing strategies including human centered design, design thinking and problem-solving tools.
- Partner with internal teams such as Procurement to test and evolve digital tools and processes related to the delivery of our work.
- Plan and organize interactions with internal and external team members including designers, translators and agency partners to deliver effective and timely event marketing assets and campaigns.
- Track, assess and report the effectiveness of each meeting or event on an ongoing basis, as well as recommend enhancements or course correction
- Share best practices with colleagues both among the team and in other Meetings & Events departments (in Canada and US) to ensure consistency and success in the market
- Build an effective network of internal and external partners and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers.
- Contribute to the continued development of the team’s overall strategic event planning by embracing a strong team-player mentality, sharing key insights, identifying opportunities for alignment and understanding the needs and trends of our Canada Segment business partners.

**What we are looking for someone with**:

- Experience in all aspects of integrated marketing strategies: print to digital, and social.
- Excellent understanding of direct and digital marketing
- Strong organizational, planning and project management skills with a proven ability to autonomously manage concurrent projects within a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Strong judgment, consulting, negotiating, influencing and collaboration skills
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, maintain professionalism and foster collaboration and buy-in from key stakeholders
