Do you have admin experience with an civil engineering firm and are looking to grow your career? Metro Testing + Engineering is hiring someone like you to provide technical and administrative support to our Geotechnical Engineering Division.
This is a full-time permanent position and based out of our Burnaby or Abbotsford office.
**Who we are**
Metro Testing + Engineering is one the largest construction material testing company in Western Canada with 10 offices and over 250 employees. For over 35 years. our technicians are busy with testing concrete, soil, aggregate and asphalt for our customers in the construction industry. We completed over 300,000 projects and many of them are high profile and long-term projects. None of these projects will be possible without the contributions from our dedicated team of engineers, geoscientists, technicians, technologists, and supporting staff.
**What you will be doing**:
- Provide general office administration and project support.
- Maintain and coordinate schedules for project teams
- Coordinate materials and equipment deliveries schedule with the suppliers
- Provide regular status updates to project managers and clients
- Prepare memos, meeting agendas and minutes
- Prepare and review invoices
- Maintain project records and documents
- Administrate Health and Safety Program
- Assist with proposal writing and submission
- Assist with the QA/QC program
**What you will get**:
- Starting wage is between $25-30/hr

**What you need to have**:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction management from a post secondary institution.
- experience in Civil Construction or Geotechnical Engineering
- Proficient in English written and verbal communication.
- Organizational skills including time management, task management and project management
- Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle
- Experience with project coordination is an asset
