We are seeking a skilled Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Technical Lead to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our Virtual Desktop team, you will be responsible for developing the overall vision and execution of virtual desktop working, including coordinating the development and implementation of the service architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate service planning for corporate large-scale systems initiatives, working closely with business units and senior IT team to define goals, objectives, and implementation plans.
- Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources to implement virtual desktop solutions.
- Lead development of formalized solution methodologies and write white papers to add insight and thought in the solution area.
- Define technology decisions for the enterprise and develop policies and standards related to technology architecture.
- Design and coordinate the implementation of an enterprise-wide service architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies.
- Research and analyze market, technology, and industry trends to determine potential impact on the enterprise and suitability of different approaches in solving emerging business needs.
- Prepare and manage the procurement of external services by managing the RFI, RFQ, and/or RFP process.
- Design, implement, and support enterprise-wide security solutions and access controls.
- Provide expert technical advice and consultation by performing analysis and formulating recommendations for proposed technology changes.
- Maintain core Citrix infrastructure and upkeep of critical Citrix services.
- Assist team members with VDI applications installation/configuration and testing.
- Manage VDI desktop pools and troubleshoot any issues that arise in VDI desktop or user profile.
