As a part of the Air Ocean release team, the Air/Ocean Customs Clearance Coordinator will foster long-term client relationships with our customers and provide accurate and compliant documentation for Customs entries.

The Air/Ocean team is responsible for overseeing the handling of day-to-day import/export of air/ocean shipments and accurate and timely documentation. As part of the Air/Ocean team, the A/O Customs Clearance Coordinator serves as the primary contact for our Air/Ocean customers.

**Job Description**:
**The Air Ocean Customs Clearance Coordinator's responsibilities include**:

- Coordinate and process air and ocean shipments electronically
- Ensuring the accuracy of documentation before transmitting it to CBSA
- Manage the workload to ensure timely customs clearances (input and output of releases/files)
- Co-ordinate deliveries of shipments to avoid additional storage charges accrued by customers
- Deliver weekly KPI reporting
- Follow up on the 3/4/5 report and errors not completed
- Maintaining SOP with all current CBSA updates to release procedures

**Qualifications**:
**What kind of experience and demonstrated success will YOU bring to A & A? Here are some of the key skills and abilities you will have**:

- Preferred 2-5 years of Customs Clearance Coordinator experience specializing in Air/Ocean shipments
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or equivalent designation is preferred
- Effective & efficient work habits (including punctuality, responsiveness, and multi-tasking)
- Mindset: When we fail, we learn. We just make it happen
- Thorough understanding of Canadian rules & regulations for the importation of goods
- Strong professional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal as well as active listening)
- Complex problem solving, critical thinking skills, extremely organized self-starter, flexible, highly independent
- Strong computer skills. Experience using G-Suite is ideal
