NAIOP is an industry association for Commercial Real Estate professionals, working in the retail, office, multi-family, and industrial development. We support the advancement of the industry in the Edmonton Region through: Education, Advocacy, Mentorship and Events. Our membership spans investors, developers, architects, brokers, planners, and engineers in the Edmonton Region, and connects with more than 22,000 NAIOP members across North America.
This full-time position will help lead advocacy, engagement, and communications, including but not limited to:
**Advocacy**
- Support the CEO in developing engagements between government and industry in response to emerging policy changes and industry needs.
- Monitor policy developments impacting the industry. Lead the development and implementation of advocacy strategies to respond to emerging issues and support economic development in Edmonton.
- Support the hosting of Policy Forums and act as a liaison for NAIOP’s Advocacy Committees (Downtown, Suburban/Retail, Multi-family, and Industrial).
**Industry Engagement and Partnership Fulfillment**
- Meet and maintain relationships with industry leaders. Understand key stakeholder needs and translate these into association initiatives.
- Secure financial support and strategic partnerships for industry/association initiatives.
- Manage sponsorship/partnership fulfillment activities, including recognition opportunities, event participation, and other benefits, to ensure sponsors receive maximum value and engagement with the association.

**Qualifications**
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in business, social science, public administration, public policy or a related field as well as 5-8 years of relevant experience.

NAIOP Edmonton is located at Suite 210, 11150 Jasper Avenue. This position will be primarily in office.
