**We are seeking a bookkeeping onboarding specialist to help our firm onboard new bookkeeping clients.**

**MUST HAVE**

1. Previous Quickbooks Online Bookkeeping Experience

2. Public Practice Bookkeeping Experience

3. Comfortable doing zoom calls with new clients and hold the conversation

**Short Summary**:
In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently onboarding new bookkeeping and payroll clients while setting up our bookkeeping team for success with processes and documentation.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Onboarding new clients
- Helping bookkeepers navigate the new client's books, setting chart of accounts, setting processes in place.
- Performing detailed review of the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and supporting schedules

**Accounting Responsibilities**:

- Ensure financial statement's completeness and quality i.e. Revenue, Expenses, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, accruals, prepayments schedule, loan amortization, payroll entries, bank and credit card reconciliations, Foreign Exchange adjustments, intercompany ledgers, CRA account balances reconciliation (RT, RC, RP) and more.
- Detecting errors and resolving inconsistencies in the accounting records.
- Timely preparation and filing of sales tax returns (GST, HST, PST, QST) as well as on-schedule delivery of monthly financial reports to clients.
- Review of year-end financial statements, preparation of working papers for the year-end accountant and assistance in annual audits.

**Onboarding Responsibilities**:

- Collect and organize necessary financial documents and information from clients.
- Set up client profiles within the cloud accounting platform, configuring settings based on individual client needs.
- Implement processess relatable to the client needs while creating a detailed document to support the bookkeeping process
- Address client inquiries and provide ongoing support to ensure clients are comfortable with the new platform.
- Data Migration:

- Maintain detailed documentation of client onboarding processes, configurations, and client-specific instructions.
- Create and update user manuals and guides for clients to reference.

**Requirements**:

- 2 years of bookkeeping review experience
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with popular cloud accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

**Education and Certifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Bookkeeper (CPB) or Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor are a plus.
