**Role Context**:
Reporting to the EVP Performance & Innovation, the VP Business Intelligence & Growth is responsible for leading the Business Intelligence/Consulting practice and supporting New Business Development and thought leadership development by leveraging local and global data & tools & research expertise and technology platforms to create data-driven intelligence solutions.

In this role you will develop a net new practice for GroupM Canada and provide guidance and vision to the practices within the agencies as these continue to evolve and grow.
- Plan & own the development of Media Intelligence & Consulting services practice & roadmap and ongoing support required for clients of GroupM
- Support New Business Development across GroupM Canada to provide insights & intelligence that will help position the core differentiation & value proposition of GroupM
- Build a strong working relationship with a variety of different internal and external client teams to identify strategies and roadmaps for using data to drive new business intelligence & performance
- Work closely with Heads of Strategy of Agencies & Research & Business Intelligence leads to deliver data and audience-driven intelligence & insights from conception to development to measurement and optimization.
- High level of experience in the use of audience data from a varied set of partners such as Vividata, Environics, Nielsen, etc., as well as the ability to dive deep into ad tech (e.g., DMPs, Google, DCO, ad servers, brand safety) to deliver audience & category-based insights & strategies.
- Working ‘upstream’ with audience scientists, strategists, investment specialists and planners to ensure that the outputs of our planning model are translated into credible precision marketing approaches.
- Working closely with investment, planning, strategy, account, and platform leads to adopt Agile Workflow principles - visualizing and valuing work whilst prioritizing tasks with the relevant stakeholders

**Required **skills/experience**:

- Skilled at building relationships with senior stakeholders to retain existing and acquire new business.
- Ability to think, behave and deliver content & intelligence in a consultative & thought leadership manner.
- A detail-orientated champion for original, intelligent data based and empirical evidence based marketing work on every brief, and will work to get the best out of technology, data, audiences and activation
- Able to build credible, expertise-based working relationships with senior marketing and media clients
- A pragmatist and a collaborator who can work effectively with peers to design solutions, especially Data Science, Planning, Investment, and Practice Leads within his or her client group
- A good translator of strategic marketing requirements into practical precision marketing activation plans that balance rigor, innovation and learning
- A trusted adviser to the Client Lead on how to plan and activate precision marketing, including troubleshooting and quality control - and work with the GroupM Agency Lead to design the best scope and service model

- Mentor junior staff as well as develop senior leadership network across GroupM

- Exceptional leadership, organizational and mentoring skills, and the ability to inspire and interact with all levels of the agency and a team spread across the agency within client groups

- Proven capabilities in strategic, conceptual thinking (particularly in the marketing), communications and media industries
- Exceptional organizational and management skills
- Detailed awareness of client business issues, industry trends, consumer trends, market status and competition
- Strong communications and selling skills (written and oral)
- Readily imports and exports best practices and learning
