**About the Job**

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Operations - the Assistant Manager is responsible for the day to day administration and supervision of the Infrastructure Operations Systems and Network Specialists.

The incumbent will establish work priorities and ensure all department and 24-7 Intouch policies & procedures are being adhered to.

**As Assistant Manager, Infrastructure Operations, You Will**
- Infrastructure capacity planning, monitoring and overseeing the development of supporting documentation
- Implementation support, patching, documentation, and maintenance
- Manage daily operational tasks including Jira ticket queue ticket assignments, Start-of-Day reporting and subsequent actioning
- Responsible for overseeing the operational management of networking devices, servers, software packaging and deployment strategies, desktop support, virtualization, storage, backups and replication, data centers, public cloud services, and Active Directory
- Observe and evaluate staff work performance
- Prepare and conduct employee performance appraisals in consultation with department management
- Coach and counsel staff in accordance with department and organizational policies and procedures
- Resolve employee issues within scope of responsibility; escalate other issues to department Management
- Develop and implement operational solutions to ensure strategic goals are successfully implemented
- Maintain inventory control and asset management

**Requirements**:
**As Assistant Manager, Infrastructure Operations, You Have**
- A computer science or engineering degree, community college diploma in a technology field, or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of experience in a similar type of role combined with leading teams including direct oversight, professional development and mentoring
- Proven ability to communicate in both user-friendly and technical language with all levels of an organization
- Strong time management, change management, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a global, multicultural environment wherein diplomacy and a passion for diversity are paramount
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a wide audience including executives, technical staff, end users, and external clients
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
