ABOUT THE ROLE

The Specialist, Social Media & Marketing has the responsibility for developing and executing social media strategies and supports digital marketing activity to enhance our brand presence and engage with our target audiences; while adhering to company policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Task management
- Create and schedule social media content (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Tik Tok)
- Manage social media content calendar from priorities to execution including collaboration with cross functional partners in marketing and merchandising, ensuring strategy aligns to business priorities and opportunities.
- Develops channel reports with strong analysis and recommendations including weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting as required.
- Supports budget tracking, P.O. creation and invoice management related to social media and digital marketing.

Liaises with Influencers, Buyers, Vendors and agency partners regarding content deliverables, timelines, and due dates.
- Proactive and reactive social listening and tracking against general brand health, competitor activity and other key topics.
- Complete program analysis for assigned marketing activities related to social media including leverage Google Analytics, Meta for Business etc.
- Develop execution timetables for all assigned projects and communicate requirements to all impacted internal and external parties, upon approval from the Director, Marketing
- Supports digital marketing efforts by communicating with agency partners, assisting in copywriting and budget tracking.
- Ensure timely updates to social and digital calendar in line with program revisions.
- Create, maintain, and effectively utilize work back schedules.
- Any other ad hoc duties upon request.
- Partnership
- Work in partnership with vendors, agency, and internal partners to meet defined deadlines and standards.
- Effectively build and maintain positive internal and external relationships.
- Communication
- Communicate and report regularly on project progress to plan, requirements, budget, quality standards and expected business results.
- Ensure ongoing communication with team members, agencies, vendors, and stake holders during the course of the project to ensure ongoing alignment, transfer and collection of key information, and consistent project status awareness.
- Detail Orientation
- Copy writing, proofing, acquiring translation and content management for social media ensuring positive and brand consistent messaging.
- Teamwork
- Use internal relationships to attain and transfer necessary information in a timely manner to ensure effective execution of projects to brand standard.
- Accountability
- Be aware of project budgets, and coordinate project expenditures to ensure alignment with assigned budgets.
- Ensure timely creation and processing of P.O.’s and expenses in compliance with operating procedures.
- Participate in the annual department budget and marketing planning process as requested.
- Problem Solving
- Report issues as soon as possible and work with next level management to resolve.
- Promotes and works to maintain workplace wellness, health and safety, through active compliance with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as required.

Education & Skills
- Post-secondary certificate or degree in marketing or related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience as a marketing coordinator or in a like position.
- 3-5 years’ experience working with social media platforms.
- 3- 5 years’ experience working with digital media.
- 3-5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Meta scheduling tools, Google Analytics.
