JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing and Sales Associate will be a split function creative position within Marketing & Sales team.

The Marketing and Sales Associate will communicate with Regional Sales Managers and 3rd party Manufacturers Reps as well as interact directly with Executive Management in statistical and operational data development, reporting both for internal management as well as external customers and other key channel players.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

- Assist with the implementation of marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales patterns and business priorities, creating marketing and advertising materials, plans, and objectives.
- Keep promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with internal and external vendors
- Assist with community management across all social media platforms that engage audiences and insert the parent brand and product brands into relevant online and offline conversations.
- Work within marketing team to brainstorm creative branding ideas, advertising copy, graphic designs, and promotional materials
- Enforce brand guidelines throughout each product to create a cohesive feel to each campaign.
- Support assigned Regional Sales Managers
- Running reports
- Communicating with 3rd party manufacturers reps
- Send out literature, catalogues and promotional items as directed
- Managing product data for customers and web using Catsy

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Post-Secondary Education
- Relevant experience in marketing or communications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong people skills to effectively collaborate with other stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
- Knowledge of Catsy PIM software an asset
- Experience using Bynder or a similar DAM for digital asset storage and deployment.
- Excellent written communication skills, including proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation, with the ability to effectively articulate information and interact with stakeholders both verbally and through written communication

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

Direction is given by national, regional or VP level sales manager. Day to day management is provided by Marketing Manager. Regular interface with all levels of corporate employees and contact with field management. Provides primary support for two or more outside sales managers. May interface with external customers and vendors as a regular part of daily job duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Smoke-free, professional office environment. Workstation may be in a high traffic area within a busy department. Standard workweek is 37.5 hours, with ability to work overtime when needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have ability to use hands and fingers to complete tasks quickly and efficiently. In addition, must have the ability to move freely throughout the facility without physical limitation, and capacity to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., and have the ability to bend, stoop and reach.
