**Job Profile**:
The successful applicant will have excellent sales and marketing communications skills with an ability to generate positive recognition and growth for the OE Banquet Hall brand. The Sales & Event Coordinator will focus on developing innovative sales & marketing initiatives and facilitating increased event sales, all with an overarching goal of delivering unforgettable experiences for all members and clients utilizing our venue, thereby fostering positive community relations and growth.

**Job Duties / Responsibilities**:
1. To execute innovative sales strategies and marketing campaigns for the OE Banquet Hall in order to continuously grow sales and client bookings by:

- Performing regular SWOT analysis and developing a marketing strategy plan aligned with sales goals and growth objectives;
- Coordinating the production of marketing collateral and other event-related materials for OE Banquet Hall in collaboration with the communications department team;
- Conducting market research to identify companies and individuals that would be interested in renting the event space at OE Banquet Hall and tailoring sales initiatives to them where needed;
- Conducting site tours tailored to the client needs, conveying key information and features in a manner that secures business;
- Reaching out to identified leads and creating a positive dialogue with prospective clients, delivering sales and marketing presentations, and selling OE Banquet Hall services;
- Establishing overarching brand awareness in the community area where we operate to generate referrals;
- Conducting post-event follow up with clients including generating and reviewing satisfaction surveys and proactively using the information collected to recommend ideas and improvements that will increase future sales growth opportunities;
- Preparing briefing reports for the Assistant Business Manager after each event, including reporting event sales revenues and expenses.

2. Assist with the logístical coordination and advanced preparation of scheduled events on an as needed basis by:

- Proactively maintaining communication with booked clients throughout the full event lifecycle, gathering pertinent information timely and updating booking records to keep all staff informed of any changes as they occur;
- Updating event files as necessary with information on décor, vendor information, menu selections and other special requests;
- Creating event outlines and floorplans for booked contracts;
- Assisting with venue pre-setup as needed such as putting out tables or chairs, putting tablecloths on tables, etc.

3. Overseeing the day-of event execution on an as needed basis as directed by the Assistant Business Manager by:

- Arriving to the venue before the clients/vendors to ensure building is unlocked and disarmed;
- Ensuring the venue is clean and properly set-up in accordance with clients’ specifications;
- Coordinating any onsite vendor activities related to event execution;
- Briefing the bar crew on bar service details;
- Monitoring the event and guests throughout the scheduled event time to ensure the event is running smoothly and guests are enjoying their experience in a safe manner;
- Checking in with clients at the end of the scheduled event to ensure they are satisfied;
- Locking up and arming the venue after the event concludes.

4. Other duties as may be assigned by the Business Manager, Assistant Business Manager and/or Human Resources Department.

**Job Requirements**:

- A University Degree or College Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality & Event Planning, or similar;
- Certification in Event Management, Wedding Planning, and/or Event Marketing;
- Two (2) to three (3) years or more experience in the event field specialising in marketing and/or sales;
- Proven ability to achieve desired sales and growth goals;
- Excellent editing, writing, researching and messaging skills;
- Competent with sales and cost negotiations related to event details;
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building including comfort in conducting sales calls, pitching services and interacting with prospective clients;
- Experience in the administration of sales and event calendars and scheduling;
- Experience in or knowledge of event A/V would be considered an asset;
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task multiple concurrent events, projects and tasks;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
- A creative and open posture to problem solving and proven ability to respond to and incorporate feedback with grace;
- Strong planning, organization, and project management skills, including the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines and proactively manage a large constantly fluctuating workload;
- Strong teamwork skills with an ability to work collaboratively;
- Ability to interpret, implement, and adhere to organizational policies and procedures;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and be respectful of
