**Title**: Health Benefits Assessor
**Contract**: Term to March 2024
**Hours**: 8:30am - 4:30pm
**Location**: Alberni Office

**About the role**
As the Health Benefits Assessor, you will review, assess, and adjudicate First Nations Health Benefits requests; process payments and client reimbursements; conduct analysis and provide recommendations regarding exceptions and appeals; provides program information to key stakeholders; and maintain records and systems.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Grade 12, including completion of one year of post-secondary education, plus one (1) year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of First Nations social, health, economic, and political issues
- Ability to provide information and advice directly to clients and providers.
- Knowledge of data entry, manipulation, and retrieval techniques using a variety of automated systems and software.
