**Title**: Health Benefits Assessor
**Contract**: Term
- Part Time (.6 FTE) to March 31 2025
**Hours**: 8:30am - 4:30pm ( Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
**Location**: Alberni
**Bargaining Unit**: PSA (Public Service Alliance of Canada)
**Hours**: 22.5

**About the role**
As a Health Benefits Assessor, you will review, assess, and adjudicate First Nations Health Benefits requests; process payments and client reimbursements; conduct analysis and provide recommendations regarding exceptions and appeals; provides program information to key stakeholders; and maintain records and systems.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have
- Grade 12, including completion of one year of post-secondary education, plus one (1) year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of First Nations social, health, economic, and political issues
- Ability to provide information and advice directly to clients and providers.
- Knowledge of data entry, manipulation, and retrieval techniques using a variety of automated systems and software.

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.
As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
