Inquiries Officer

The Office of the Integrity Commissioner is seeking an analytical and highly organized Inquiries Officer - Lobbyist Registration. You are tactful and non-partisan, demonstrating an attention to detail and an ability to work with confidential material.
**What You Will Do**:
**You will act with integrity to**:
- Receive and review inquiries about Ontario’s lobbyist registry
- Carefully review registrations submitted to the registry, assessing each for matters of non-compliance
- Analyse issues against legislation
- Engage in discussions with lobbyists and members of the public about the registry
- Prepare correspondence
- Proactively support all aspects of the registry
**How You Will Qualify**:
**You demonstrate excellence because you have**:
- A university degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience
- Strong verbal communication and superior writing skills
- A good understanding of the _Lobbyists Registration Act, 1998_
- Comfort working with high volumes of work under tight deadlines
- An abiding interest in provincial current affairs
- The ability to work independently, and with a team
- Above-average skills in Word and Excel
- Superior problem-solving skills, excellent judgment and a ‘can do’ attitude
- An unflappable and inquisitive nature, a desire to take initiative
