**Our Opportunity**
Reporting to the Head of Client Experience, the Program Lead, Communities has accountability over the strategic positioning of our Communities programs, managing the planning and successful execution of our Communities, which includes leading in-person conferences and events, virtual workshops and our digital forums.
**Main Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Leadership**
- Collaborate with the Client Coverage team to determine the optimal roster of conferences, forums, and workshops for CEM annually, recommending specific communities to add or drop based on market trends and feedback.
- Continuously improve and evolve CEM Communities based on client/team feedback, third-party conference landscape, and market synergies.
- Propose annual pricing strategies for CEM Communities, considering synergies with non-community subscriptions.
- Manage the CEM Communities sub-brand and marketing assets, including sections on Peer Intelligence and the CEM website, as well as the master overview deck.
**Delivery Leadership**
- Manage the master calendar for all CEM Communities, both in-person and virtual, including CEM-led and external events.
- Keep the CEM team informed of key updates related to Communities via Teams and all-team meetings.
- Develop and maintain CEM’s Communities playbook, including webinars, and provide coaching to relevant individuals as needed.
- Recommend and monitor resources for CEM Communities, including budgeting and talent resourcing (internal and third-party).
- Oversee CEM’s relationships with pan-Community vendors and serve as the expert on digital delivery, contract, and vendor management.
- Own the success of our proprietarily-built events app to manage events, registration and attendance.
**Community Level Support**
- Oversee the Community agenda, ensuring relevant speakers and activities are included, while keeping the planning team updated and preparing speakers for their presentations.
- Participate in venue selection, site visits and negotiations, collaborating with client teams to ensure events are delivered on budget and provide a high-quality experience for attendees.
- Manage the speaker experience throughout the event, including coordinating logistics, vetting presentations, and arranging thank-you gifts, while also creating event-specific marketing materials.
- Monitor participant satisfaction through surveys, aiming for scores above targets, and address any unforeseen issues that arise, while keeping timelines and deliverables on track using Trello boards.
- Act as Host and MC for all CEM-led communities, forums, and workshops, and delegate tasks as needed to ensure effective delivery.
**You Bring**:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in developing and executing successful events, conferences and virtual workshops.
- Familiarity with event specific technology including: EventMobi, Cvent, Microsoft Teams (webinars), Zoom (webinars), Discourse, or similar.
- Proven ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously, including experience with calendar management and timeline tracking tools like Trello.
- Ability to analyze market trends and client feedback to make informed recommendations on community offerings and pricing strategies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to keep internal teams informed and engage effectively with speakers, vendors, and attendees.
- Demonstrated experience in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and overseeing budgets to ensure events are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
