**THE ROLE**

The Human Resources and Operations Coordinator has seasonally shifting responsibilities within the Commercial Activities department including:
**Human Resources**:

- Provide full recruitment-cycle support
Manage the onboarding and support the orientation process for hires
- Ensure employee/contractor files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Appleby’s policies and procedures
- Responsible for creating mandatory online training accounts
- Assist as assigned in coordinating information for payrolls

**Operational support - commercial activities**:

- Process registrations for commercial programs
- Administer necessary accounts and logins for staff and students as required
- Schedule and organize accommodation and technology resources as required
- Coordinate meal quantities and allergies/restrictions to Sodexo
- Manage and problem solve issues with participants, parents/guardians, and staff
- Maintain accurate attendance records for all assigned commercial programs
- Coordinate with campus nurse with regards to student health centre visits
- Coordinate communication response in the event of a first aid incident, medical emergency, maintenance issue or crisis according to the Appleby Summer Program safety policies and emergency procedures
- Provide reception services
- Assist Coordinator, Commercial Activities with facility and conference rental groups as needed
- Assist with organization off-campus excursion logistics including creation of trip and duty binders
- Support new commercial projects as required
**Operational support - boarding life**:

- Assist with arrival, departure and welcome processes for boarding students
Manage supply procurement and inventory of resources for the Boarding Academy Office
**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Post-Secondary Education at the University level, in a relevant field
- Previous administrative experience
- Relevant work experience in summer programs/camps, recreation or educational environments an asset, as is Appleby Programs product knowledge
- Solid knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Systems knowledge Sharepoint, Finalsite and CampBrain is considered an asset
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems an asset
- Superior service-oriented skills and ability to respond with urgency
- Strong communication skills, energetic and enthusiastic
- Must maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
