***Unity Health Toronto is embarking on a multi-year digital, clinical transformation project to implement a new electronic patient record solution across all sites. The Electronic Patient Record (EPR) project is a pillar of enabling exemplary patient experience and quality of care and therefore see this not as an information technology initiative, but as one founded in clinical transformation and care redesign.**

**Job Profile**:
**The EPR testing lead role will be responsible for overseeing full testing of all components of the new EPR. This role bridges technology, clinical workflows and practice in the development and oversight of the execution for testing all components of the new EPR for all end users across the organizations. This role sits within the EPR governance structure and has a mandate to develop and to ensure that the testing requirements for new EPR are met and to ensure that clinical and non-clinical needs are being addressed.**

**Main Responsibilities**
- **
Plan and develop all aspects of EPR test plan and projects**
- ** Liaises with the Director/Project Director and / or Manager to obtain the vision/goal for EPR testing; utilizes information received to facilitate planning, development and implementation process;**:

- ** Utilizes understanding/knowledge of medium size project development initiatives and best practice guidelines that will have an impact on specific department(s)/area(s), processes and procedures to facilitate the project planning process;**:

- ** Ensures appropriate mechanisms are in place for the optimal delivery of projects, including best practices guidelines and tools for the effective management and execution of projects;**:

- ** Conducts needs assessment for medium size projects to facilitate defining project plans, deliverables, schedules/timelines to meet identified goals;**:

- ** Communicates intermediate level project plan and project expectations independently to team members and stakeholders, in a timely and clear fashion to ensure project goals can be optimally achieved;**
- ** Lead Project implementations across EPR Program**
- ** Develops and leads the implementation process for medium scale project plans, including EPR integrated testing, that will ensure the optimal delivery, execution and implementation of project goals/initiatives, including**:

- ** Establishing/developing and implementing a project communication plan that meets the needs of established project;**:

- ** Creating an action plan for medium size projects to facilitate project implementation, utilizing best practices guidelines and appropriate tools;**:

- ** Playing a lead role in coordinating activities and managing deliverables to ensure project meets established goals while ensuring compliance with corporate goals and practices;**:

- ** Managing deliverables that generally poses mínimal issue, ensuring associated project activities are well coordinated, organized, etc.;**:

- ** Providing ongoing tracking and monitoring of project activities, identifying/resolving issues and concerns that may hamper project activities, utilizing information to develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, predictions, etc.;**
- ** Managing staff and testing resources**
- ** Participates actively and/or fully in the identification and selection of appropriate project staff**:

- ** Directs and motivates project staff to ensure accountabilities/performance goals are met;**:

- ** Delegates responsibilities/work assignments for project staff while implementing strategies that will foster a productive work environment;**:

- ** Builds a team environment and a culture built on mutual respect/trust to facilitate a productive work environment;**:

- ** Provides knowledge transfer for the project team, where appropriate to facilitate the optimal/timely completion of projects; and ensure collaboration and coordination.**
- ** Monitoring and Controlling**
- ** Initiates and oversees the development, drafting and execution of medium scale project protocol/strategies, including EPR integrated testing, to capture and present moderately complex information;**:

- ** Maintains regular documentation and updates to describe the characteristics of medium scale project to effectively lead, manage and facilitate the documentation process for medium scale project initiatives, deliverables and the communication process to ensure clients and other relevant parties are informed, including**:

- ** Organizing and chairing medium scale meetings, as required to provide updates on project status;**:

- ** Organizing, chairing and/or meeting directly with the Project Director and other relevant parties to collect relevant information and gain a better understanding of project requirement, etc.;**:

- ** Utilizing information received and other relevant information as a gauge to develop straightforward reports, presentation, slides and other documents to provide updates on project progress/
