The Executive Assistant will provide executive administrative support and project coordination for the Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Executive/COO. The incumbent is responsible to develop, implement and maintain effective operating policies and procedures to support the offices’ goals and objectives. The incumbent will develop, establish and maintain information tracking systems, schedules and filing systems, and manage the coordination and logístical support for projects, meetings and conferences.
This position requires excellent administrative, analytical and organizational skills, as well as advanced computer skills in order to provide broad-based support to the assigned portfolios.
All duties are carried out in a manner consistent with BGH’s vision, mission and values, to meet the strategic and operational goals of the organization.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Three-year community college diploma or equivalent in a business administration program or another field of studies relevant to the duties of the position. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience, which includes providing administrative support to senior level positions, preferably an executive level position.
- Project Management or Project Coordination education is an asset.
- Experience in a public sector or health care setting is preferred.
**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES**
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Adobe and Internet.
- Demonstrated experience in taking and transcribing minutes for a variety of senior level committees where accuracy and attention to detail are required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of office management, as well as demonstrated experience in project and time management.
- Knowledge of Privacy legislation and confidentiality requirements.
- A strategic and proactive thinker who can effectively prioritize competing demands and align workflows with broader organizational priorities.
- Analytical skills, ability to capture, manage and interpret raw statistical data, and convert it into meaningful information for decision-making.
- Passion and aptitude for learning and acquiring new skills.
- Professionalism and reliability.
- Good attendance and availability required.
