We are currently recruiting for a Mortgage Administrator - Single Family. This individual will be an integral member of our dedicated Mortgage Servicing team who will focus on servicing various types of mortgages under management in our single-family mortgage portfolio. This role will demand someone who is dedicated, has a strong attention to detail, team-oriented, and self-motivated to deliver the best service to borrowers and internal stakeholders. Superior organization, communication and quantitative skills are essential to succeed in this role. Our team is friendly, hard-working, and willing to train and develop the right talent.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Responsible for all post-funding activities including but not limited to account administration and payment processing, renewals and discharges.
- Respond to requests from clients and their counsel, brokers for information statements, payout statements, and discharge documents in a timely manner.
- Assist with monthly departmental reporting.
- Initial set up and maintenance of mortgage records.
- Prepare payment schedules for clients.
- Prepare investor remittance reports and process payments to investors.
- Ensure collateral loans are properly insured against loss due to fire and other hazards as per Lender’s standards. Annual follow-up for insurance renewals, ensuring that the renewal policy meets the requirements.
- Set up of all payments and/or follow-up of all payments including arrears payments.
- Process loan renewals on mortgage software and ensure that all renewal documents are received.
- Prepare annual statements and audit confirmations.
- Review legal documents for loan closing.
- Ensure property taxes on mortgaged loans are current.
- Manage work volumes to meet short timelines with a high level of quality.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the company's funding procedures, legal guidelines and resources.
- Involve themselves in Special projects as assigned and produce any ad hoc management reports as requested.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- University degree
- Knowledge of interest rates and an understanding of loan structures is preferred
- Passion and desire to learn and grow
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (able to design and use Excel spreadsheets as well as familiarity with Word)
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Very strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
- Familiarity with real estate and/or lending is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
