Bookkeeper/administrative Assistant

Truro, Canada Zacks Auto Sales Full time

Administration and bookkeeping duties at a locally owned and operated used car dealership. We use an accounting software designed for car dealerships which has features specific to the automotive industry, called Serti. Training will be provided on how to use this software.
Duties include:

- Accounts payable: invoice entry, payment entries, making sure vendors are paid on time
- Stocking vehicle units in to inventory
- Accounts receivable: sales entry, entries of payments and deposits
- Payroll administration, including commissions earned by sales people
- Bank reconciliation
- Filing and record keeping
- Making general ledger entries and adjustments
- Printing reports and reviewing financial statements with management
- Meeting monthly and quarterly deadlines

**Qualifications**:

- Business administration or bookkeeping training
- General understanding of double-entry accounting method
- Good communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Work well independently and manage your time effectively
- Reliable and trustworthy (background check may be requested)
