**Job Summary**

The Data and Fleet Analyst is responsible for work involving the capture, maintenance, and analysis of fleet and logistic data. The role develops, automates, and maintains the Engineering dashboards for the management of the engineering railcar fleet and other engineering logistic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Furthermore, the role works closely with the Engineering Technology group to support existing systems with a focus on automation, improvement of reports and ensuring the quality and accuracy of field reporting.

**Main Responsibilities**

**Development, Automation, and Maintenance of Engineering Dashboard**
- Understand Engineering KPIs and user needs to build a suite of associated user-friendly dashboards in Power BI
- Build automated data updates for the Engineering dashboard to reduce maintenance activities
- Provide training to end users on dashboard outputs

**Fleet Coordination**
- Ensure Engineering cars are associated to a pool allowing waybill to be fully automated
- Monitor car dwelling continuously and take actions (e.g., correct missing waybill, contact field, contact mechanical function to repair railcar) to optimize cycle time
- Manage railcar fleet size to meet Engineering needs, including providing business cases to right size it
- Drive proposed process, guidelines, or system improvements to enhance overall efficiency and decrease cycle time

**Working Conditions**

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday, with occasional field visits in various types of weather and environmental conditions. The role requires mínimal travel (5%) within the United States (U.S.) and Canada. Due to the nature of the position, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**

**Data Analytics and Reporting**
- Between 1 to 3 years of data analytics and reporting experience
- Experience using data reporting tools
- Railway operations experience*
- Any designation for these above would be considered as an asset

**Education/Certification/Designation**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Logistics or related

**Technical Skills/Knowledge**
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Power BI, or equivalent
- Knowledge of Systems, Applications and Products (SAP), Service Reliability System (SRS), and Engineering Capital Planning System (ECPS)*
- Fluent English communication both, written and verbal
- French communication, written and verbal*
- Any knowledge for any of the above would be considered as an asset
