**Responsibilities**:
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work sites to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports outlining root causes and recommendations for corrective action.
- Provide safety training and orientation to new employees, as well as ongoing training and support to existing staff members.
- Collaborate with management and department heads to address safety concerns and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including training sessions, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and industry best practices, and proactively recommend updates to policies and procedures as necessary.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role, preferably in the manufacturing, construction, or waste management industry.
- Thorough knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail.
- Certification or training in occupational health and safety is preferred.

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
