**Position Summary**:

- Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed permanent full time Administrative Assistant to support the Human Resources department.
- The Administrative Assistant, Human Resources provides confidential administrative support to designated team members within the Human Resource portfolio’s across Northern Health. Acts as a first point of contact for the assigned area(s) and directs both internal and external customers to the appropriate staff to address their needs.
- Starting salary will be approximately from $47,064 to $58,830 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 supplemented by successful completion of an administrative diploma.
- Three (3) to five (5) years progressive administrative assistant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to respond to customer needs and resolve customer issues.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a team environment.
- Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Outlook, Internet, Word, Excel and Access.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work with mínimal direction and work independently.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing priorities, demands and deadlines.
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills.
- Professional telephone manner.
- Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to type 50 w.p.m.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
