**Position Summary**:

- Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed relief full time Administrative Assistant to support the Compensation team.
- Provides administrative and technical support for compensation services including maintaining position related files and documentation, maintaining and updating the excluded staff compensation database, issuing excluded offer letters, preparing standard forms and templates for compensation related material, maintaining an electronic job descriptions database and responding to requests for job descriptions. This position also assists with Northern Health’s (NH) position tracking program by processing new and changed position details.
- Starting salary will be approximately from $55,677 to $69,596 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.**Prince George** has a population of 89,490 (2021) local residents and is a service centre for approximately 320,000. Prince George has all the amenities of a larger city mixed with the charm and friendliness of a smaller town. **Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Human Resources Management or Business Administration plus three (3) years of recent related experience in a large, complex unionized environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing including the ability to respond politely and diplomatically to both internal and external inquiries.
- Ability to type at 50 wpm.
- Ability to work independently and as part of team in a cooperative and supportive manner.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of attention to detail.
