**Job Description**:
The Payroll Specialist (Bilingual) will join our finance/accounting team to manage the following:

- Manage biweekly/monthly payroll processes; prepare payroll submissions for the outsourced providers, and thoroughly review and reconcile changes for these payrolls.
- Data entry for the in-house Canadian payrolls.
- Review and coordinate New Hire Data submitted by HR for proper employee date, work location, & tax location data.
- Assist in maintaining accurate tax withholding recognition for Local tax jurisdictions.
- Liaise with vendors, advisors (ADP/Wagepoint/Nethris/Deluxe) to ensure the processing of payrolls
- Process special payroll payments
- Assist in meeting expectations of the Payroll Dept. as dictated by new acquisitions.
- Support the annual compensation/ salary & bonus process. Conduct thorough checking to ensure the accuracy of data in payroll.
- Ad Hoc finance duties to support the larger Verisk finance group.
- Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
- Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related fields
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; English and French Canadian required
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with processing of Canadian payrolls and regulatory employment compliance a plus; inclusive of the following provinces Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Labrador
- Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
