As a Payroll Specialist at Sienna Senior Living, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all team members receive accurate compensation for their hard work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify team member data in the system prior to processing for accuracy in set up based on classification and related collective agreements.
  • Maintain the integrity of data resulting from input, calculation, and setup changes on multiple systems: Ultipro HRIS, UTA, Comvida Scheduling, ADP.
  • Process payroll updates on multiple systems, including importing time and submitting batches for processing.
  • Create load files and batches to the in-house HRIS system as required for payroll processing.
  • Manage high-volume hires, terminations, and transfers within Sienna's homes, ensuring accurate data is maintained.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislative changes to ensure compliance with ESA, CRA, Service Canada, collective agreements, and organizational policies.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Human Resources, or other related discipline.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Payroll with a strong customer service focus.
  • Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel – Vlook Up, Pivot Table, IF Formulas, SUMIF.
  • High degree of accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
