With more than 1000 sworn and civilian members, the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) requires a temporary **Records Management Specialist. **The WRPS delivers exceptional police services to more than 575,000 residents. As a Records Management Specialist

**You Will**:

- Provide advice, guidance, and training to all areas of the organization to assist with the efficient and effective operation of the records management lifecycle;
- Support the organization’s records management requirements for the governance, risk management, and compliance of electronic and hardcopy records;
- Maintain and administer the off-site records management program;
- Process requests for information in accordance with established processes and procedures;
- Administer audits to ensure organizational compliance with legislation and procedure, reconciling inventory and managing the access, retrieval, and refiling of records; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**You Have**:

- A post-secondary education in Records and Information Management, Access and Privacy, Data Quality Management or other related field;
- Comprehensive knowledge of records and information management, including records keeping principles, query methods and storage systems;
- At least two (2) years’ relevant experience providing advice and best practice knowledge in records and information management or a related field;
- At least one (1) year of relevant customer service experience;
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact and provide guidance to internal members of all ranks, external stakeholders, and customers;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives, readjust priorities; and develop a work schedule;
- A valid class G Ontario driver’s license with no more than six demerit points; and
- The ability to meet police security clearance requirements and to maintain confidentiality.

**You Are**:

- A strong self-starter with the ability to work under mínimal supervision;
- Able to participate as an effective team member and to support and project values compatible with the organization; and
- Able to meet testing requirements for this position.
