Financial Records Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Technician to manage financial records and ensure accurate accounting practices at Grand River Granite LTD. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll Management: Calculate and prepare payroll cheques efficiently.
- Asset Management: Assess fixed assets and manage depreciation schedules.
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
- Journal Entries: Accurately post journal entries to reflect financial transactions.
- Reporting: Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports as needed.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and trial balances.
- Account Reconciliation: Ensure accounts are reconciled regularly.
The ideal candidate should be proficient in:
- MS Excel
- MS Outlook
- MS PowerPoint
- MS Windows
- MS Word
- QuickBooks
- MS Office Suite
